Grammy-Winning Violinist Mads Tolling Toasts the Swinging '60s With "Mads Men"
Two-time Grammy-winning violin superstar Mads Tolling made his name as a member of the acclaimed Turtle Island String Quartet, and has received equal praise while working with his own jazzy ensembles. He brings his world class quartet to El Campanil Theatre for "Mads Men", their musical tribute to the instrumental hits of the 1960's. The retro program includes classic TV and movie theme songs, including the title tracks from "Mission: Impossible", "The Pink Panther" and even "The Flintsones". You'll also hear some of the Top 10 recordings that ruled the airwaves during the "Mad Men" era. Joining Tolling is Antioch's own Nicholas Crossen ("American Idol"), who'll pipe in on numbers like "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) and "What A Wonderful World."Comments
