Bay Area party-goers have a new jam in Oakland. "United African Bash" is a multicultural groove-fest that will light up Bella Ultra Lounge with Afrobeats, reggae, dance hall, throwback hip-hop and exotic forms like the thrillingly percussive African-French style known as Coupé-Décalé. Its inaugural show kicks off with the quirky Nigerian singer and multi-instrumentalist Filon Jay, who combines smooth vocals and slick beats with a sly sense of humor. Also on the bill, local DJs Jayhits and Carl will get the floor shaking.
