About The Doctor Dances: 1756

PEERS presents The Doctor Dances: 1756 - An 18th century costume ball inspired by "The Girl in the Fireplace" episode from the popular "time traveling" science fiction series "Doctor Who." After a 7pm dance lesson, the celebrated chamber ensemble Bangers and Mash plays an evening of waltzes and Baroque French and English Country Dances. No partners are requires and all Country Dances will be taught and called. At intermission some swinging modern line dances will also be called by the Doctor's thoroughly modern companion Rose Tyler. 18th century costume, modern evening dress, or costume inspired by "Doctor Who" is admired but not required.
