About The Best of San Francisco Solo Series

San Francisco's Best Solo Shows Come to San Leandro

The Bay Area has been pumping out quality solo shows lately, and seven of the best are coming to the San Leandro Main Library for a series as varied as it is wonderful. In "The Jewelry Box" and "Not a Genuine Black Man", Brian Copeland looks at his own personal history, as well as that of the Bay Area when it comes to race relations. In "Tipped & Tipsy", Jill Vice brings to life 14 different characters as she celebrates the traditions of American bar culture. Jason Kormbluth's "Love & Taxes" tells the story of a man who hasn't filed a tax return in seven years, while Jeff Greenwald's "Strange Travel Confessions" changes with each performance, based on which of his 30 stories come up at the spin of a wheel. And then there are Mark Kenward's "Nantucket" and Don Reed's "East 14th Street", two solo shows that look at how what happens in childhood sticks with you forever. By purchasing this season pass, you'll get to see all these top-notch shows, pulled from the Marsh, the San Francisco Fringe Festival and Berkeley Rep.
