Ron Moton announced the release of his long-awaited EP CD, “It’s Time for Sax” in 2015.
To commemorate the release, saxophonist Ron Moton will be performing selections from his new CD with his incredible show now touring the Bay Area. Ron also can be heard on radio stations in Northern California (OZCAT Radio 89.5 KZCT Vallejo CA, KHSU 90.5 Arcata CA, KDEE 97.5 Sacramento CA).

When Ron is not on the road touring and performing with his Jazz Funk Band, or R&B group ConFunkShun he is active in the community making a difference musically. Ron states his primary focus is to play, “music that uplifts the human spirit.” Ron is a composer, producer, studio musician, songwriter, music clinician and Midi composition instructor. He also offers private music instruction to up-and-coming artists who share his passion for creating music for the soul.

Ron remains active at home in the Northern California area by giving back to his community. In addition to having a musical and mentorship presence at his church he is committed to ensuring local youth receive music education through private lessons and music clinics.

Ron Moton began his musical journey at the age of eight, playing classical piano and the sax followed soon afterwards. He played his first paying professional gig at the age of 14. Ron's career started by playing Bebop, Jazz Standards and Show Tunes. Also included is Gospel Music both as a producer, performer and as a music director/music minister. Experience also includes Big Band, Theatrical, Vaudeville and various Pit Orchestras. Musical experience includes R&B, Funk, Latin (Traditional), Latin Jazz, Polka and Portuguese Traditional Music. Also performances in Country, Country Swing, Rock and Pop Music. Rap /Hip-hop Recordings and performances with a variety of national acts. Ron also plays Sax, Flute & performs vocals for the R&B/Funk group ConFunkShun. As an in demand and highly sought after Music Producer, he handles numerous projects per year. His clients range from all over the United States and the free world. The primary focus is music that uplifts the human spirit.

Ron Moton, is a Composer, Recording Artist, Record Producer, Studio Musician, Songwriter, Music Clinician, Midi Composition Instructor, Private Music Instructor, and an internationally known performance artist. Ron Moton has recorded or performed with artists ranging from Herbie Hancock to Ian Samwell to a veritable "Who’s Who" in the music and recording industry. Travels have taken his music to The Jazz Bulls in Chicago, to Japan (Cotton Club). Russia, under the coordination of the Russian Philharmonic Society: Performances in 2006 (November-December), featured as Guest Jazz Artist in "The Russian Snow Jazz Festival". 2009 representing the United States of America Jazz on stage with the top Russian Jazz All-Stars (The Russian Federation National Big Band (Directed by Tolkachev). Concerts and performances by Ron include Mexico, Aruba, East and West Caribbean Islands and France, Kuwait and Iraq tours.
Ron Moton continues his musical journey as a multi-talented solo artist. His dedication to others has been remarkable allowing artists to shine in their own light. Ron also provides scholarships for music study and mentoring to select talented students that are at risk or have special circumstances. Ron believes in helping others achieve their musical dreams.
