When Pierre-Laurent Aimard plays the music of Pierre Boulez, it's not just one of the greatest living pianists performing the works of one of the greatest living composers -- it is the continuation of an ongoing artistic collaboration that began when Aimard was appointed to Boulez's famed Ensemble Intercontemporain at age 19.
