Instead of a boring restaurant brunch, Edible Excursions is offering a more palatable alternative to your Mother's Day routine with this tasting tour of Temescal, a cool hipster area of North Oakland. On the sampling menu for this excursion are specialties from Juhu Beach Club's chef Preeti Mistry, including chai-spiced brown sugar bacon and a "doswaffle," as well as Ethiopian injera, Korean favorites, gourmet-flavored ice cream, a Breton pastry called a Kouign-Amann and more. You'll also have the chance to talk with the food makers themselves for insight into their craft.
