Raised amid the rich musical culture and history of the San Francisco Bay Area, Monophonics proudly carry the torch through the generations into today’s musical landscape. Holding on to tradition, but by no means purists of any kind, they play their own brand of music known as “Psychedelic Soul.”

DJ HEYLOVE*
DJ heyLove* grew up in the Bay Area surrounded by different cultures, ethnicities, and art. Influenced by all this diversity she developed a love for variety, which is reflected in her taste for music. Attracted to different rhythms and how they make the mind, body, and soul feel, heyLove* is naturally drawn to artists from the past and present like Roy Ayers, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, J Dilla, Kanye West, AtJazz, Omar, & Esthero. You'll hear jazz, R&B, downtempo, broken beat, house, reggae, afro beat and hip-hop in her collection.

EL MENTATE
El Metate is a psychedelic spacefunk collective from San Francisco that formed in the summer of 2013.

Their recorded body of work runs the gamut from soaring, guitar-fueled originals that recall Soulive and Boogaloo Joe Jones to reinterpretations of rare groove classics awash in a psychedelic haze of Hammond Organ and Fender Rhodes.
