About MICHAEL LANDAU

Musician and composer Michael Landau was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is a prolific session guitarist and performer who has played on hundreds of records since the 1980’s. Some session highlights include: Pink Floyd, Miles Davis, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Michael Jackson and Rod Stewart. He has recently shared the stage in band projects with Robben Ford, Steve Gadd, Jimmy Herring and Wayne Krantz, and toured with Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and his own project The Michael Landau Group. With many releases under his own name, the latest being the critically acclaimed "Organic Instrumentals" on Tone Center Records, his music flows intensely, ranging from spooky ballads with beautiful improvisation to rowdy voodoo Rock 'n' Roll with vocals. He is an expressive, mind blowing guitarist. This all-star band features Andy Hess on bass (Gov't Mule, The Black Crows, John Scofield) and Gary Novak on drums (Chick Corea).
