The Junius Courtney Big Band featuring Denise Perrier invites you to get caught up in their “Mood Ellington” - a brand new show for one performance only.

From Ellington’s early tunes like “Mood Indigo,” newly arranged by the band’s eminence grise Frank Fisher, to stomping full-band numbers and elegant ballads, the night will be a deep dive into the Duke’s colorful sea. Acknowledging the 50th anniversary of Ellington’s Sacred Concert, the band will honor Duke’s later work with a special “Come Sunday.” Look forward to Billy Strayhorn’s lush sophistication, Denise Perrier’s compelling vocals, and some signature surprises.
