About "Greater Tuna"

Two Actors Play 20 Townsfolk in Small-Town Comedy "Greater Tuna"

Pittsburg Community Theatre brings a little bit of small-town Texas to California with this long-running off-Broadway comedy set in the fictional city of Tuna -- the kind of place where the Lions Club is considered too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. Meet all of Tuna's eccentric citizens, including the Bumiller family, puppy-poisoning Aunt Pearl, the long-winded Reverend Spikes, good ol' Vera Carp and many more, all played by veteran Pittsburg Community Theatre actors Gregory Brown and Brian Villanuevaby. Created more than 30 years ago as a party skit based on a political cartoon, "Greater Tuna"'s popularity has endured, spawning countless tours, several sequels and even an HBO special.
