Gounod's opera in four acts adapts Goethe's story of the downfall of Faust, and that of the fair Marguerite, who becomes an innocent pawn in Mephistopheles' plan. Known for its famed "Jewel Song," the opera's been captivating audiences worldwide since its Paris premiere in 1859. It's performed here in French with projected English translation in the intimate Bay Terrace Theater.
