DW Edwards musician, singer, songwriter, recording artist “Music is My Life” says DW Edwards, (aka Darrell Edwards). Influenced by music icons such as Pop & Mavis Staples, Al Green, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, the Righteous Brothers, and Ray Charles, Darrell began performing in his church choir at the age of 9. After school hours were spent practicing guitar and listening to popular music. By his teenage years Darrell had assembled the Edwards Brothers Band to perform at local venues. His musical talents have since grown to include his own powerful, rhythmic, funk beat that draws audiences to the dance floor. His love of R&B music comes to life with his skillful and entertaining keyboard playing. Add to that Darrell’s perfect pitch and feel for yourself the infectious joy he brings to the stage. Darrell's new CD, entitled SCUZE ME, ( released November 8, 2014) exhibits the musical and lyrical versatility of this talented artist. From his ballad “Words of Wisdom”, Reggae “Jamaica Man”, to cover tune “Scuze Me” his music continues to evolve and entertain. DW has recently returned from a CD promotion to Amsterdam, having performed at the renowned “Bourbon Street Music Club” at Rembrandt Square and “Sugar Factory”.
