About Bill Frisell
Widely considered one of the "big three" guitarists in jazz (along with six-stringers John Scofield and Pat Metheny), Bill Frisell presents a solo evening of guitar invention. As described by The New Yorker: "Bill Frisell plays the guitar like Miles Davis played the trumpet." Frisell roams freely during his solo performances from his own compositions to wildly unconventional takes on Bob Dylan, Madonna and the Americana of Stephen Foster, often utilizing layers of loops, delays and other effects to expand the sonic possibilities.
This night is required attendance for all guitar players, and all lovers of jazz.
